Make the transport of ski equipment easier and more convenient. This can be done by increasing the mobility and decreasing the travel size of ski poles.

Research and design a ski pole that can be collapsed into hand-held form without compromising the structural integrity of the pole.

This product is designed with both downhill casuals and backcountry trailblazers in mind.

When it comes down to it, everyone could benefit from not having to pack as much gear to go skiing. While this doesn't eliminate the need for gear itself, it provides a way to easily pack ski poles. Whether you're an experienced ski mountaineer or going down the green slopes for the first time, the Retractapole allows you to easily pack and transport your ski poles.
